Replacing the fuse will correct the problem.
Passenger side automatic door lock not working.
In most cases vaupell says it s the driver s side door actuator that breaks down because it s used the most.
Replacing it may require removing the car door panel.
Defrost the lock to check an individual lock mechanism work the door lock manually up and down or backwards and forwards in newer vehicles while using the auto lock button at the same time.
The only way to lock unlock it is manually push the lock from the inside or use the key from the outside.
Have the same problem with my driver side lock i believe i need a new actuator.
Chances are your solenoid is burned up or maybe a loose connection.
The solenoid is bad.
All three other door locks respond normally.
The door lock doent open close with any switches on the passenger driver switch pad nor does it open with my remote.
If the lock tries to move then the problem could be a frozen lock mechanism or a faulty solenoid.
This is a cheap and easy fix.
A fuse is blown.
Inspect the fuse that protects the door lock circuit to ensure it is not blown.
Just make sure the key is on.
I have an 08 altima 2 5s and two days ago my driver s side door lock stopped working in response to the remote the keyless entry button on the door handle and the lock button on the inside.
Again if one door doesn t work but others do the problem could be with the door lock solenoid.
It does open close when i insert the key in the driver side door.
If all of the door locks are inoperative start your diagnosis at the fuse box.
If it s not sending a signal the fob will likely have to be replaced.
If i insert the key into the passenger side door the lock doesnt open close.
